There are four personality types or social styles – Sales, Scholastic, Technical, and Advocate. All four have their own unique approach to business, their own language, and thought processes, etc. As a consequence, the very best sales professionals have become adept at recognizing which personality they are dealing with and adapt their approach and communication style accordingly. The audience breakdown is as follows: Sales (35%), Scholastic (18%), Technical (25%), and Advocate (20%). All types listed above really mean nothing if you’re NOT a great listener!
